چکیده

For large particles, the tail of the pulse is relatively long, and if a smaller particle passes through the sensor volume while the tail still elevates the detector voltage, the smaller particle may produce a pulse that exceeds the counting threshold for large particles . . . Because small particles in ambient air are much more numerous than large particles, it is the small particle concentration that will govern the appearance rate of correlated pairs.

Application of multivariate techniques in-line with spatial regionalization of AOD over Iran Introduction Models, satellites and terrestrial datasets have been used to detect and characterize aerosol. Nontheless, micoscale classification using remote sensing parameters considers as a deficiency. Thus, regionalizion and modeling aerosol without regard to political boundaries or a specific s...

Detection of Spatial Correlations Among Aerosol Particles

Most approaches for evaluating rates of fundamental processes in aerosol science depend upon the implicit assumption that aerosol particles are independently and identically distributed in space. The validity of this assumption has not been examined in several decades, despite the fact that the presence of correlations can be shown to significantly alter theoretical expressions for such phenome...

Interactive comment on “Modelling the optical properties of fresh biomass burning aerosol produced in a smoke chamber: results from the EFEU campaign” by K. Hungershöfer et al

The authors present and discuss the optical properties of aerosol particles that resulted from burning samples of African Savanna grass and hardwood in their laboratory. The authors made measurements of the size distribution, the scattering coefficients and the absorption coefficient and other quantities. The results indicate that the particles were larger and less absorbing than the results of...

Response Characterization of an Inexpensive Aerosol Sensor

Inexpensive aerosol sensors have been considered as a complementary option to address the issue of expensive but low spatial coverage air quality monitoring networks. However, the accuracy and response characteristics of these sensors is poorly documented. In this study, inexpensive Shinyei PPD42NS and PPD60PV sensors were evaluated using a novel laboratory evaluation method. A continuously cha...
